In August 2024, the secretary of health charged a certified nursing assistant and registered medical assistant with unprofessional conduct.
The alleged facts state that from November to December 2021, the aide falsely identified herself as a patient's sister at the hospital where she was employed and diverted oxycodone from that patient. She also allegedly provided the patient Adderall and Remeron without a prescription, and in January 2022 her urinalysis was positive for alprazolam without a prescription. The case was charged and is subject to the disciplinary process.
