What Happened
In March 2022, a pharmacy technician at a CVS Pharmacy on Ben Sawyer Boulevard in Mount Pleasant, SC, allegedly stole tablets of OxyContin and Adderall from the pharmacy.
According to DHEC, investigators determined responsibility based on an audit, video evidence, and a confession. The technician was charged with two counts of theft of a controlled substance in August 2023 and was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center before being released on own recognizance.
